Dakoi explores sounds of electronic music, deconstructed with kuduro, dembow, hard drums, and gqom – with chopped, raw voices and high-pitched elements.
A DJ and producer since 2018, Dakoi is now focusing on her project LÍBIDA, which creates a parallel visual world to accompany the character and her experiences, created by Filipa Combo. This project aims to highlight the importance of self-confidence, self-esteem, and positive queer sexual representation. Dakoi released her debut EP, Mastiga, in June 2023, in which she explores concepts like liberation and self-awareness through club music and hard drum.
