Panos Alexiadis presents his new work (in progress) entitled On Forgetting based on abstract themes and words spoken repetitively. Fragments of the past blended with the surreal, revealing the ever-shifting nature of the subconscious, like a memory that fades and warps over time, slipping between the conscious thought and imagination. Drifting inside a familiar yet distant dream, elusive yet personal, temporarily shaping our perception of reality.
Panos Alexiadis is a sound artist based in Athens, Greece, mainly working with electronics and magnetic tape. His approach to sound lies between composition and improvisation, all merged in long form built structures of synthetic and acoustic textures, evolving into a sense of wandering in an introverted semi-abstract sound environment. In 2015 he founded Thalamos, a tape label based between Athens & Berlin, oriented on the peculiar and versatile side of experimental underground sound.
