Antonia Buresi is an actress and a performer. Born and raised in Southern Corsica, at the age of 18 she went to Paris to study theatre. In 2008, she met the artist duo Ana Borralho & João Galante, and the three began a strong and rich artistic collaboration. She has worked in acting, film, workshops and numerous projects with many artists and directors. In 2018, she started working with filmmaker – and partner – Lola Quivoron, with whom she co-directs Headshot, a documentary based on the performance Trigger of Happiness by Ana Borralho & João Galante.
Currently she works in film, television and theatre.
Lola Quivoron grew up in the surroundings of Paris. After graduating high-school, she moved to Bordeaux where she attended a preparatory class for Literature studies before attending the MFA in Directing at La Femis. She has directed three short films selected and awarded in various festivals. In 2020, Quivoron co-directed Headshot with Antonia Buresi. Throughout her films, she has tackled strong contemporary subjects such as male-dominated fields, violence, gender stereotypes, structures of domination, ways of rebelling against the status quo and the quest for freedom. She is currently working on her new feature, a gangster movie based on her family story.
