After a collective photo exhibition and the presentation of his films Flamingo Field Without Flamingos and Traces of a Diary, André Príncipe accepts the invitation to once again present his work at the Festival Verão Azul, this time in the form of a solo exhibition.


André Príncipe (Porto, 1976). He exhibits on a regular basis since 2004. Among his solo exhibitions are: Walls at the Portuguese Centre of Photography (2005); Tunnels (2005), Smell of tiger precedes Tiger (2009) and Master and Everyone (2011) at Fernando Santos Galery; Non-Fiction at Centro Cultural Vila Flor and Elefante (2018) at MAAT.
He directed and co-directed short and feature films, such as Traces of a Diary (with Marco Martins) and Flamingo field without flamingos. He is founder and co-editor of the Pierre von Kleist book publisher. He has published ten books; Tunnels (Booth-Clibborn Editions, London – 2005), Master and Everyone (2010), I thought you knew where all of the elephants lie down (2011), Perfume do boi (2012), Smell of tiger precedes tiger (2012), Tokyo Diaries, with Marco Martins (2014), You’re living for nothing now, Book 1,2,3, (2015), Non-Fiction (2018), Elephant (2019), all published by PVK.
